About
Based and operating from The Hague, The Netherlands.
Densley Annastatia (1997) is a visual artist who primarily works with photography.
Trusting his intuition, he photographs his surroundings as they are. Through this he is able to construct narratives by reflecting on his own work. He is often drawn to subject matters that reflect upon a personal view of the in-between (manifested in moments, spaces and feelings), passage of time (impermanence/transformation), identity and the mundane within his surroundings.
With his work, Annastatia aims to evoke a certain feeling: nostalgia, reflection, recognition or something the viewer cannot quite place. He is always interested in the dialogue about what his work means to others, as meaning, for him, is always in flux.
